Personal Training
Looking take your Training to the next level?
We pride ourselves on the wealth of knowledge and experience that all our coaches bring to the table. We are by no means the cheapest on the market (you wouldn’t go to Mcdonald’s and expect Michelin Star service). We do however look to cut through the s**t and fads within the fitness industry and provide our clients with quality sessions that are backed by research and years of experience.

Gen Collins
Gen is a Masters Powerlifter who stumbled across the sport powerlifting in her 30’s after becoming injured playing netball. From being apprehensive about being in a gym, she found a new passion for strength training which took her from being a complete newbie, who’d never set foot in a gym before to competing internationally for Great Britain.
Her love for the sport grew and developed into a career coaching competitive powerlifters as well as people wanting to improve their strength and general health.
Gens background gives her a real understanding of the anxiety people have about joining a gym and also the pressures athletes face training and competing to a high level, so wherever you are in your fitness journey here at Implexus Gym, Gen will help you improve strength and grow in confidence in a safe and enjoyable environment.

Wylie Sung
Hi, I’m Wylie. I’ve been working in the fitness industry since 2010, progressing from gym instructor to Level 3 Personal Trainer, alongside earning a degree in Sports Health, Exercise and Nutrition.
Fitness has always been a huge part of my life. From skateboarding, martial arts to bodybuilding and powerlifting, I’ve spent years developing both physically and mentally through sport. I first pursued bodybuilding competitively, achieving 3rd place in a UKBFF bodybuilding competition, before discovering my true passion for powerlifting. Since then, I’ve progressed through local and national competitions to competing internationally.
I work with clients of all ages, backgrounds and experience levels — from general gym-goers looking to improve their health and confidence, to competitive strength athletes and powerlifters. My coaching focuses on improving body composition, building strength, and helping people become the strongest version of themselves, both physically and mentally.
What I value most in a client is commitment and willingness to put in the effort. Progress isn’t always straightforward, but by working together, overcoming obstacles, and staying consistent, we can achieve long-term results that improve both performance and quality of life.

Ian Kirke
Kirky- alongside Chris as an OG of Implexus. Having left getting broken every week on the sports field Kirky now takes pleasure in trying to help people avoid the same plight. With a degree in Sports Science and various other qualifications, 20+ years in professional sport and a few trophies along the way (yes he is that old) he has a plethora of experience in both athletic performance and resilience for life! When not broken, he has a penchant for strongman, feeling the sport offers similar unusual attributes and awkwardness that he is akin to!

Anna Garbutt
Anna- a member since near enough day dot Anna’s early Implexus experience was only that side of the fence. Bitten by the Implexus culture bug, Anna left behind midwifery to pursue a career in the fitness industry. She has her very own interesting, before, middle and after story that would inspire anyone. She still loves training people but is also now known as ‘Poppy’ of Poppy’s Potting Shed fame!
